Small Business Development in Allen
The City of Allen has worked to create a pro-business environment that supports local entrepreneurs in their endeavors. The Allen Economic Development Corporation (AEDC), working in conjunction with Collin County Community College (CCCCD) and the Allen Chamber of Commerce, provides information and support to entrepreneurs actively seeking to start or grow a small business in Allen.
CCCCD Small Business Development Center
The best place to start when creating a small business is the CCCCD Small Business Development Center. CCCCD staff are available to help with the logistics of starting a small business and determining if your business can be successful.
The Small Business Development Center works with companies with up to 500 employees through one-on-one meetings, instructional small business seminars and training classes. The center has knowledgeable attorneys and CPAs who are willing to give entrepreneurs an hour of free consultation. The center can aid in everything from developing a business plan to hiring and managing employees, and offers access to a wide range of information and qualified business professionals.
The CCCCD Business Development Center is a partnership between Collin County Community College, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the State of Texas. Each of these entities can provide entrepreneurs with invaluable information on starting a small business; in addition, the Texas Department of Economic Development and tourism offers an online guide entitled "The 4 Steps to Starting a Business."
